Policy och manifest

• Vi vill värna om den fysiska bokens existens och mångfald trots stadigt minskad marknad.

• Vi vill genom vårt ideella arbete inom föreningen fortsätta traditionen att ge ut litteratur med kulturell, filosofisk och informationsrik bredd. Vi vill också bidra till att lyriken fortsätter finnas på de svenska bokhyllorna till läsning.

• Vi vill motverka den pågående trenden med begränsning till utgivningen av endast populära och säljstarka internationella titlar och på så vis väga upp mot den nuvarande utgivning som uppstått med ett fåtal stora förlagsaktörer. Vi vill också verka som ett alternativ till den begränsade distribution som egen utgivning innebär.

• Vårt mål är att merparten av våra böcker ska bestå av svenska originalböcker som motvikt till internationella bästsäljares ökande dominans.

• Vi avser att ge ut under olika förlagsnamn för att bejaka bredd och nischutgivning samt att förvärva förlagsrättigheter för att stödja återutgivning av gamla titlar.

• Vi avser att värna om författares och illustratörers avtalsenliga ersättningar utan att begränsa utbudet till lönsamma titlar och upplagor.

• Vi avser att genom utgivning inom föreningens ram kunna vara självfinansierande och bygga upp medel och på så vis fortsätta bredda vår utgivning av unika fysiska böcker till svenska folket.

• We want to safeguard the existence and diversity of the physical book despite a steadily shrinking market.
  

• Through our nonprofit work within the association, we want to continue the tradition of publishing literature with cultural, philosophical, and informational breadth. We also want to help ensure that poetry continues to be available on Swedish bookshelves for readers.
  

• We aim to counter the ongoing trend of limiting publication to only popular and best-selling international titles, thereby balancing the current publishing landscape dominated by a handful of major publishing houses. We also seek to serve as an alternative to the limited distribution inherent in self-publishing.

• Our goal is for the majority of our books to consist of original Swedish titles as a counterbalance to the increasing dominance of international bestsellers.
  

• We intend to publish under various imprint names to embrace both broad and niche publishing, as well as to acquire publishing rights.

• We intend to safeguard authors’ and illustrators’ contractual compensation without limiting our selection to profitable titles and print runs.

• Through publishing within the association’s framework, we aim to be self-financing and build up funds, thereby continuing to expand our publication of unique physical books for the Swedish people.
